Where Prophet started

Prophet Scheduling grew out of logistics. Before it was software, it was the work itself: deciding which job goes to which person, in what order, and how to fit one more stop into the day without making everyone late.

Doing that by hand showed us where the time and money go: hours building schedules, trucks crossing paths across town, and one long job pushing back every appointment after it.

Why we built it

Most scheduling tools are calendars. They show you the day, but someone still has to work out who goes where. Logistics taught us that this is a math problem, and that math solves it better than guesswork, especially when the plan changes at 10 a.m.

Big-company optimization for service crews

Large delivery companies and airlines plan their fleets and crews with mathematical optimization. A business with five or fifteen trucks has mostly had to do it by hand. Prophet brings the same kind of technology to service businesses, set up for how a crew actually works.
